PRP Joint Injections
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are a regenerative treatment designed to naturally stimulate healing and reduce pain in joints, tendons, and soft tissues. Using a small sample of the patient’s own blood, the platelets are concentrated and reinjected into the injured or painful area, delivering powerful growth factors that accelerate tissue repair, decrease inflammation, and support long-term recovery. PRP is frequently used for conditions such as knee arthritis, shoulder injuries, neck pain, and tendon issues, offering patients a minimally invasive alternative to surgery with little to no downtime. By harnessing the body’s own healing potential, PRP injections provide a safe, effective option for managing pain and restoring mobility.
Dr. Mark M. Mikhael brings the precision of a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and the experience of a hospital Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery to every PRP procedure he performs. With advanced training from UCLA, Ohio State, Loma Linda, and UC Irvine, Dr. Mikhael combines medical expertise with a deep understanding of musculoskeletal healing. His specialization in joint, tendon, and soft tissue injuries allows him to tailor PRP treatments for conditions such as knee arthritis, shoulder pain, and neck strain, ensuring safe, effective, and personalized care.
