ClearV® Laser by Dr. Hakim

Effective Solution for Vascular Skin Concerns

At Divina Dermatology & Cosmetic Center, we offer the ClearV® laser treatment—a non-invasive, precise solution for various vascular skin issues. This advanced technology addresses visible veins, broken capillaries, rosacea, and more, providing clearer, healthier-looking skin with minimal discomfort and downtime.

Why Choose Dr. Hakim for Your ClearV® Treatment?

Dr. Jacquiline Hakim is a double board-certified dermatologist and a nationally recognized expert in laser therapies. As a certified trainer for Sciton, the manufacturer of ClearV®, she educates other physicians on the safe and effective use of this technology. Her extensive experience ensures that each treatment is customized to your unique skin needs, delivering optimal results with the highest safety standards.

Understanding ClearV® Technology

ClearV® utilizes a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser to target and treat unwanted vascular structures beneath the skin's surface. The laser energy is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood vessels, causing them to heat up, collapse, and eventually be reabsorbed by the body. This process effectively reduces the appearance of:

  • Spider veins

  • Broken capillaries

  • Rosacea-related redness

  • Vascular lesions

  • Port wine stains

  • Warts

  • The treatment is safe for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI) and can be performed on various body areas, including the face, neck, chest, arms, legs, and abdomen.

Benefits of ClearV® Treatment

  • Non-invasive Procedure: No incisions or anesthesia required.

  • Minimal Discomfort: Integrated cooling system enhances patient comfort during treatment.

  • Quick Sessions: Treatment times range from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the area.

  • No Downtime: Resume daily activities immediately after the procedure.

  • Year-Round Treatment: Safe to perform even during summer months.

  • Effective for All Skin Types: Suitable for a diverse range of skin tones and types.

1.   Technological Basis:

  • ClearV® by Sciton is an advanced vascular laser treatment designed to target and visibly reduce unwanted blood vessels, redness, and other vascular skin concerns with precision and minimal discomfort. At its core, ClearV® uses a powerful 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, a wavelength highly absorbed by hemoglobin—the molecule that gives blood its red color. This allows the laser to heat and collapse visible vessels beneath the surface of the skin without damaging the surrounding tissue.

2   Treatment Process:

  • The laser energy is delivered in precise pulses, carefully controlled by Dr. Hakim to match the depth, size, and location of each vessel being treated. Once heated, the targeted veins gradually close off and are naturally eliminated by your body’s immune system over the following days and weeks.

  • What makes ClearV® unique is its ability to treat deeper and broader vascular issues—including spider veins, facial redness, rosacea, port wine stains, broken capillaries, and even body areas with vascular visibility such as legs, chest, or arms. It also features Subsurface Vein Illumination (SVI™) and Integrated Cooling, which allow Dr. Hakim to see and treat hidden vessels more effectively while keeping the skin cool and comfortable during treatment.

3.  Clinical Efficacy:

  • Because of its precision and the ability to tailor energy levels, ClearV® is safe for all skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI) and can be used year-round—even on tanned skin—making it one of the most versatile vascular lasers available today.

  • When performed by an experienced laser expert like Dr. Jacquiline Hakim, a Sciton-certified trainer, ClearV® delivers consistent, high-level results with minimal downtime and maximum safety.

Role of Dermatologists in ClearV Treatment:

1. Expertise in Vascular and Skin Conditions

  • Dermatologists are medical experts in diagnosing and treating skin and vascular disorders. They can distinguish between cosmetic and medically significant lesions (like spider veins vs. telangiectasias caused by underlying conditions), ensuring the right treatment approach is chosen—or referring when necessary.

2. In-Depth Knowledge of Laser-Tissue Interaction

  • ClearV® uses advanced laser energy that requires precise calibration based on vessel depth, skin tone, and sensitivity. A dermatologist understands how laser energy behaves across different skin types and vascular structures, minimizing risks like burns, pigment changes, or scarring.

3. Safe Treatment for All Skin Types

  • ClearV® is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types—but darker or sensitive skin requires expert adjustment to avoid complications. Dermatologists are uniquely trained to treat diverse skin tones safely and effectively, and can customize parameters with confidence.

4. Post-Treatment Care and Complications

  • Should side effects like bruising, swelling, or post-inflammatory pigmentation occur, a dermatologist can manage them immediately with prescription-strength products and expert medical care. Their training ensures patient safety from consultation through follow-up.
